Schedule

- Established cancer center with advanced oncology technology
- Collaborative physician and APP team
- Primarily medical oncology and hematology patient population
- Light call burden with occasional rounding needs
- Hospitalists admit new patients
Support Staff
- 2 Full-Time Hematology/Oncology Physicians
- 2 Full-Time Advanced Practice Providers
- Dedicated oncology nursing and support staff
Patient Volume
- Approximately 15-23 patients per clinic day
- Mix of approximately 60% Medical Oncology and 40% Hematology
- Limited after-hours patient volume
- Minimal inpatient responsibilities
Responsibilities
- New patient consultations
- Follow-up visits
- Medical oncology and hematology management
- Treatment planning and coordination of care
- Potential bone marrow biopsy procedures
- Light call coverage including phone consultations and occasional rounding
- Documentation within Epic EMR
Clinical Scope
- Solid tumor oncology
- General hematology
- No acute leukemia coverage required
- No malignant hematology service requirements
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology & Oncology
- Fellowship training preferred
- Bone marrow biopsy experience preferred
- Comfortable managing both hematology and oncology patients
- Ability to provide at least two consecutive weeks of coverage
- Providers offering extended coverage blocks strongly preferred

- Emergency privileges available when needed
