OBGYN locums in New York with a steady OB and a predictable weekly structure, two clinic days plus one 24 hour in house hospital call shift while the team recruits permanently.
Practice Setting
- Mix of inpatient and outpatient OBGYN, approximately 95% OB work
- Annual delivery volume around 1300 to 1500
- Clinic pace runs about 12 to 15 patients per day
- Support in place, hospitalist on call for the hospital side plus LPNs and scribes
Schedule
- Two clinic days per week
- One 24 hour in house hospital shift per week
- Hospital call runs 8am to 8am, on site stay with bed and workout room available
- Clinic hours are typically 8:30am to 4:40pm, with flexibility on clinic timing
Cases and Procedures
- Low risk OB, predominantly vaginal deliveries
- C section rate around 4%
- Some GYN including IUD placements and removals
Requirements
- Must be an MD or DO
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- New York medical license required
- Comfortable with eCW in clinic and Cerner in the hospital
