Excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant for growing Georgia based manufacturer. The position is responsible for supporting the Finance team by performing Accounting related tasks utilizing generally accepted accounting principles. Compensation is up to $80k. Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Prepare indirect tax filings for property, sales tax and other related returns
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, questions outliers and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results to management
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing insights
- Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end close processes
- Support audits, lender requests and tax filings by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices in accounting procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
- Understanding of accounting principles and regulations
- Proficient in ERP systems and spreadsheets
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented and organizational skills.
