Daily Responsibilities: As a Construction Estimator at Buchanan Company, Inc., you will play a vital role in our project development process. This position is essential for ensuring accurate cost assessments and effective project management, contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality products and services. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects involving rubbish and linen chutes. Analyze project plans and specifications to determine necessary resources and labor. Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and timelines. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms. Utilize estimating and software for accurate calculations. Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid proposals. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating multi-family and commercial fields. Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. Excellent project management skills with a focus on detail-oriented tasks. Familiarity with estimating and project management software. Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with contractors and suppliers. Strong analytical skills to interpret blueprints and specifications accurately. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
