We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for ongoing clinic and inpatient call coverage in Pennsylvania. This opportunity offers a balanced mix of hematology and oncology in a collaborative community-based cancer program.
Assignment Details:
- Start: July 2026
- Ongoing assignment
- Minimum 6-month commitment
- Full-time coverage required
Schedule:
- 5 clinic days/week
- 8-hour clinic shifts
- Clinic hours begin at 8:00 AM
- Last patient scheduled at 3:30 PM
- 30-minute lunch included
Call Requirements:
- 1:2 call rotation
- 10 weeknights/month
- 2 weekends/month
- Weeknight call: 4:15 PM 8:00 AM
- Weekend: 24-hour call coverage
- Light overnight phone volume
Practice Setting:
- Acute care hospital + outpatient clinic
- Rural community environment
- Adult Hematology/Oncology population
- Infusion center onsite
- Radiation Oncology onsite
- EMR: Epic
Work Details:
- Average 15 patients/day
- 60% Hematology / 40% Oncology
- Solid tumor oncology
- Benign and malignant hematology
- Consulting service only (hospitalists manage admissions)
Procedures NOT Required:
- Bone marrow biopsies
- Lumbar punctures
- Port access
- BMT consults/care
Support Structure:
- Hem/Onc physician support onsite
- APP support
- Oncology-certified nursing staff
- Pharmacist support
- Participation in tumor boards
Requirements:
- BC/BE Hematology/Oncology
- Pennsylvania license or IMLC
- DEA required
- Minimum 1 year experience
Credentialing:
- Approximately 90 days
- Temporary privileges available for clean files
