    • Openings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level II Trauma Center requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and certifications including TNCC.Details
      • Work in the Emergency Department of a 426-bed short-term acute care hospital, part of the Yale New Haven Health System
      • Combined adult and pediatric ED patient population
      • Level II Trauma Center
      • 4x12-hour night shifts ()
      • Every other weekend required
      • Floating may be required as needed
      • Epic EMR usedRequirements
        • Active CT or Compact RN license required
        • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
        • Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
        • Experience in a combined adult/pediatric general emergency department required
        • Experience with dysrhythmia management required
        • IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required, including starting/maintaining IVs and central line care/management
        • Experience with IV vasopressors required
        • Respiratory skills required: CPAP/BiPAP and ventilated patient management
        • Experience with isolation precautions and triage required
        • Candidates must not have any prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license
        • 1 professional reference required for consideration
        • Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted

          • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
          • Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
