Job Description


We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an AC Drive / Variable Frequency Drive Specialist in Connecticut. This role leverages your technical expertise in AC Drives / Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and associated power components to craft and deliver comprehensive drive solutions tailored for industrial clients.


Responsibilities:



  • Design and specify complete AC Drive / VFD solutions, focusing on components such as Variable Frequency Drives, circuit protection, line reactors, and power conditioning elements.

  • Assess customer requirements to recommend appropriate technical solutions.

  • Interpret and review electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and panel layouts accurately.

  • Develop and manage sales strategies for VFD product lines to foster growth.

  • Provide technical support to the sales team, including pre-sales consultations, solution validation, and bill of material (BOM) development.

  • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training to both customers and internal teams.

  • Prepare and present comprehensive technical proposals, ensuring clear communication of solution descriptions and justifications.

  • Engage in customer meetings, site visits, and application reviews as necessary, acting as a trusted technical advisor.

  • Collaborate with Rockwell Automation and utilize internal engineering resources effectively.


Requirements:



  • 510 years of experience with VFDs in industrial or automation environments.

  • Strong proficiency in low-voltage industrial drives, motor control, and power distribution components.

  • An Associates Degree or higher in Engineering (Electrical, Industrial, or a related field).

  • Experience in supporting or collaborating with a technical sales organization.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a confident customer-facing presence.

  • Ability to conduct on-site consultations with clients.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with Rockwell Automation drives, particularly the PowerFlex family.

  • Experience working for a Rockwell Automation distributor or systems integrator.

  • Background in delivering customer-focused technical training or seminars.

  • Understanding of NEC, NFPA 79, and standard industrial electrical practices.
