This role offers a primarily outpatient focus with manageable call responsibilities and a steady patient volume.Start Date: October 2026 - ongoing needPosition Highlights:
95% outpatient clinic / 5% inpatient coverage
Adult patient population (100%)
Case mix: 70% Oncology, 30% Hematology
Opportunity to transition into a permanent position
Schedule & Coverage
Monday-Friday 8a-5p with potential of 3-6-night call shifts per month (5p-7a)
Clinical Details
Average patient volume: 22 patients per day
2-3 new consults daily
Outpatient and inpatient Hem/Onc responsibilities
Procedures & Skills:
Intrathecal chemotherapy (required)
Intracavitary chemotherapy (highly preferred)
Support & Technology:
EMR: Epic
Requirements
Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology or Medical Oncology
Hematology/Oncology Fellowship required
Kentucky license (highly preferred)
BLS & ACLS certifications required
COVID vaccination required
Experience in both outpatient and inpatient Hem/Onc required
