ATC West Healthcare is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for ongoing locum tenens coverage due to a physician vacancy. This role combines 24-hour general cardiology and STEMI call coverage with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, working alongside an established cardiology team. Emergency credentialing is available for providers with an active Oregon license and a clean malpractice history.

- Orientation: Day before assignment start or morning of first shift
Job Details & Responsibilities
Facility Information:
- Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
- FTE: 0.5 1.0
- EMR: Meditech with PatientKeeper interface
- Reason for coverage: Physician vacancy
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide interventional cardiology services and STEMI coverage
- Perform PCI and diagnostic catheterization procedures
- Interpret echocardiograms and stress tests
- Follow and manage assigned patients until sign-off
- Collaborate with an established cardiovascular team
Expected Procedures/Cases:
- STEMI management
- Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
- Diagnostic angiograms
- Right and left heart catheterizations
- IVUS, FFR, and IFR procedures
Patient Volumes:
- General call: Approximately 5 consults per day
- Coronary angiograms: 2 6 daily (inpatient/outpatient combined)
- Clinic volume: patients per day
- Adult patients (18+ years)
Team & Support Structure:
- 3 General Cardiologists
- 2 Interventional Cardiologists
- 1 Nurse Practitioner
- Fully staffed office
- 1 dedicated Medical Assistant per provider
- Anesthesia support available as needed
- Hospitalists manage all admissions
Required Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
- Completion of Interventional Cardiology fellowship/residency training
- Active Oregon medical license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- DEA registration
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation
Highly Important for Emergency Privileges:
- Clean malpractice history required
