Job Description

The Consultation Specialist conducts immigration consultations with prospective clients and helps them understand the legal pathways offered by Solano Law Firm. Clients trust us with some of the biggest decisions of their lives, and this role exists to convert qualified consultations into retained clients through relationship building, strategic discovery, education, objection handling, follow-up, and an exceptional client experience.

This is not a call center role. A successful Consultation Specialist combines empathy with confidence, structure with warmth, and sales ability with integrity. You will not provide legal advice or represent yourself as an attorney. Your responsibility is to gather information, educate clients on the firm's process and potential pathways under attorney supervision, identify opportunities for legal review, and guide qualified prospects toward representation. Compensation:
$80,000 - $120,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
Schedule & Work Expectations

Full-time, in-office in Atlanta, GA
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 10 AM-7 PM Eastern Time
Solano Law Firm operates company-wide on Eastern Time
Saturday coverage is built into this role to serve clients who work weekdays
Remote and hybrid work are not available

Compensation

Base salary: $50,000-$55,000
Performance-based bonus structure tied to revenue collected and deposits
On-target earnings (OTE): $80,000-$120,000 annually
Top performers regularly exceed $100,000

Language Requirement
Professional fluency in Spanish and English is required. You must be able to:

Conduct full consultations independently in Spanish
Build rapport naturally with Spanish-speaking clients
Explain complex information in simple, client-friendly language
Transition seamlessly between English and Spanish in the same day

Core Responsibilities
Conduct Immigration Consultations

Lead scheduled consultations via Zoom, phone, and in-person from the Atlanta office
Use Solano's structured consultation process from opening through close
Create a welcoming, professional, high-trust client experience
Maintain control of consultation flow

Discovery & Case Exploration

Conduct thorough fact-finding on immigration history, family relationships, client goals, timeline, and urgency
Identify opportunities for attorney review
Document findings clearly and accurately

Education & Solution Presentation

Clearly explain potential pathways being explored, firm process, timelines, pricing, and next steps
Present recommendations confidently and ethically: without creating unrealistic expectations
Help clients understand the value of legal representation

Sales & Conversion

Build confidence and urgency ethically
Conduct trial closes throughout the consultation
Address objections professionally
Execute structured follow-up for undecided consultations
Take ownership of consultation outcomes

Documentation & CRM Management

Maintain complete and accurate consultation notes
Update CRM immediately after every consultation
Track outcomes, next steps, and follow-up activities

Team Collaboration

Participate in daily huddles, coaching sessions, call reviews, and team trainings
Share client insights and trends with leadership
Contribute to continuous improvement

Sales Performance

60% overall consultation-to-hire conversion rate
30% same-day (on-the-spot) conversion rate
Strong follow-up conversion on undecided consultations

CRM compliance and documentation accuracy
Same-day follow-up completion
Attendance and schedule reliability

30 / 60 / 90 Day Success Plan

First 30 days: Learn, Observe, Build Foundation Complete onboarding, learn the consultation structure, shadow consultations, begin conducting supervised consultations, build confidence in both languages.
First 60 days: Execute, Improve, Build Consistency Independently manage your consultation schedule, strengthen objection handling, execute follow-up consistently. Target: 20-25% same-day conversion, 45-50% overall conversion.
First 90 days: Perform, Own Results, Become a Top Contributor Operate fully autonomously. Meet or exceed 30% same-day and 60% overall conversion. Become known for accountability, ownership, and client trust.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications

Native or professional-level fluency in Spanish and English
Minimum 2 years of experience in consultative sales, sales, legal intake, customer success, or other high-touch client-facing roles. Experience may be from any industry; immigration law experience is preferred but not required.
Proven history of meeting performance and conversion goals
Exceptional communication and objection-handling skills
Strong organization and follow-through
Comfortable discussing financial commitments and guiding client decisions
Willing to work Monday-Friday, 9 AM-6 PM ET, in-office in Birmingham

Preferred Qualifications

Immigration law or immigration consultation experience (preferred, not required)
Experience with HubSpot, CTM, Zoom, or similar CRM systems
Consultative sales experience
Experience navigating emotionally sensitive conversations
