Long-term care setting within a hospital that provides long-term, skilled nursing, and short-term transitional care services
Day shift, Monday-Friday with some flexibility in start and end time (approximately 7am-4pm)
40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
No direct reports; primary focus is on stabilizing staffing and driving team performance rather than performance management
Uses Epic for charting
13-week contract with potential for contract-to-hire conversionRequirements
Active MT RN license required; compact license holders must transfer to MT within 60 days of start
BSN from an accredited institution required
Minimum 3 years of nursing management experience required
Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience required
Minimum 1 year of long-term care experience required
Current BLS certification (AHA) required and must not expire prior to start date
Epic EMR experience required
DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for considerationAdditional Information
Role is distributed approximately 20% tactical (staffing, equipment, employee relations), 50% operational (budget management, supply acquisition, process improvement, performance evaluations), and 30% strategic (developing goals, accountability)
Responsible for ensuring competent and sufficient staffing levels, including hiring, orientation, retention, and employee satisfaction
Oversees compliance with patient safety initiatives and regulatory bodies including Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, and DOPL
Partners with physicians and medical director to achieve clinical, operational, and service goals
Monitors and improves patient satisfaction using service metrics and national benchmarks to develop and implement action plans
Supports staff participation in community outreach activities such as volunteer health clinics and health fairs
Prior experience as a Nursing Executive Director, Nursing Home Administrator, or Community Manager preferred
Master's degree preferred (must be obtained within 4 years of hire)
Candidates who have worked permanently at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
