Pediatrics Physician

We are working with a facility in Massachusetts seeking Pediatric / Family Medicine Physician coverage for ongoing weekend call. Please review the details below:

Assignment Details
Ongoing assignment (monthly weekend coverage)
Inpatient nursery setting
Start date: Flexible

Schedule
1 weekend per month
Friday 7:00 PM Monday 7:00 AM
24-hour call coverage
Optional 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM 7:00 AM)

Practice Setting
Critical access hospital
Inpatient nursery and mother-baby unit
Adult hospitalist onsite for support
EMR: Meditech

Work Details

• Coverage focused on newborn care and nursery patients
• Low patient volume environment

Patient Volume:

• 0.33 admissions/day
• 1 inpatient/day

Responsibilities:

• Newborn care (>2000 g)
• Newborn resuscitation
• Intubation (ETT)
• Non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP)
• Respond to in-house delivery-related codes
• Daily rounding on mother-baby unit

Support & Environment

• No supervision responsibilities
• Collaborative environment with onsite hospitalist support
• Low-volume, manageable workload

Requirements

• Board Certified in Pediatrics or Family Medicine
• Massachusetts license preferred
• NRP certification required

Credentialing

• Approximately 3-month timeframe
