Job Description: Work within Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS) electrical applications. Assist with the planning, coordination, performance of design, analysis, and liaison engineering supporting the development and production of company products and services. Contribute to the planning, developing, and coordinating of important engineering projects. Provide specialized technical assistance to team members. Use advanced techniques and modified extension of theories to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Determine and develop own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives. Work under limited supervision, having work only reviewed for accuracy and consistency with meeting overall objectives. Act as a liaison with representatives outside of assigned group/area. Actively work to improve daily processes and ensure all work meets customer requirements. Maintain a current knowledge of developments in field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field required. Five years of experience in job offered or related engineering position required, including any experience with: Siemens Capital wire harness design software suite; Material Review Board (MRB) & Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) accreditation; Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS) engineering design change triage and disposition; process and tools definition and documentation; the administrative and technical processes of designing and managing aircraft electrical systems from initial stages to the final phase using specialized design software; different stages of products from creation, production, and planning; and with operational line difficulties. In lieu of a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field and five years of experience, Employer will accept a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field and three years of the above-requested experience or a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field and one year of the above-requested experience.
