Job Description: The VA Portland Healthcare System (VAPORHCS) in Portland, Oregon is actively recruiting a Gastroenterologist to help care for our Nation's Veterans - America's heroes. This is an opportunity to join a team of accomplished academic gastroenterologists and hepatologists, nurse practitioners, nurses and other affiliated staff. All of the faculty are dedicated to the education of the next generation of health care providers, including Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) gastroenterology fellows, medicine residents, medical students and other health professional students. In addition to outstanding clinicians and clinician-educators, our faculty includes well-established physician-scientists with interests in clinical, epidemiologic and health services research covering a variety of topics, such as advanced liver disease and colorectal cancer prevention. The Gastroenterology Section provides a wide range of clinical services, including general and interventional endoscopy (e.g., ERCP, EUS, radiofrequency ablation), wired and wireless pH monitoring and manometry.
