Locums - Faribault/Owatonna, Minnesota CRNA Float Pool Opportunity

Clinical Role
Join an established anesthesia team providing coverage at two Minnesota facilities located approximately 20 minutes apart. This ongoing locums opportunity offers a mix of supervised and independent practice environments with a strong emphasis on obstetric anesthesia and regional anesthesia skills.

Assignment Details
Start Date: 9/14/2026
Contract Length: Ongoing

Coverage Requirements:

  • Full-time availability strongly preferred
  • Will consider providers available for two weeks per month
  • Providers must float between facilities

Position Highlights
Ongoing locums opportunity
Float pool position covering two facilities
Combination of supervised and unsupervised practice models
Broad anesthesia case mix including obstetrics
Epic EMR
Strong clinical support available
Call responsibilities required
No cardiac surgery cases

Schedule & Coverage

Regular Schedule:

  • Monday - Thursday
  • 8-hour or 10-hour shifts

Friday Coverage:

  • Emergent cases only
  • Primarily C-sections and occasional emergency procedures

Call Requirements:

  • PM call: 3:30 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Weekend call: 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM
  • Weekend and overnight call rotated among all providers
  • Friday through Sunday coverage managed by weekend call rotation

Call Structure:

  • Beeper call
  • Required response time of 30 minutes
  • Sleep rooms available at both facilities if onsite presence is necessary

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

Practice Settings:

  • Faribault: Independent CRNA practice model
  • Owatonna: Supervised anesthesia care model

Patient Population:

  • Adults
  • Pediatrics

Case Mix Includes:

  • General Surgery
  • Obstetrics
  • ENT
  • Pediatric cases

Required Skills and Procedures:

  • Strong Obstetric anesthesia experience
  • VBAC/TOLAC management
  • Epidural placement
  • TAP blocks
  • Spinal anesthesia
  • Peripheral nerve blocks

Additional Information:

  • No cardiac surgery performed at either facility
  • Cardioversions and TEEs performed infrequently at Owatonna
  • CRNAs are not required to perform TEEs

EMR: Epic

Support Structure:

  • Independent practice at Faribault with physician assistance available
  • Supervised practice model at Owatonna
  • Dedicated anesthesia support staff
  • Sleep rooms available at both facilities

Requirements

NBCRNA Board Certification - Required
Active Minnesota License - Required
BLS Certification - Required
ACLS Certification - Required
Minimum of 2 years of CRNA experience - Required
Strong Obstetric anesthesia experience - Required
VBAC/TOLAC experience - Required
Comfortable practicing independently - Required
Experience with pediatric patients - Required
