Travel LDRP RN Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Grants, New Mexico. This opportunity is ideal for nurses who are passionate about providing comprehensive maternal and newborn care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn stabilization.

The RN will deliver compassionate, evidence-based care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive maternal and newborn assessments.
  • Care for patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
  • Monitor fetal well-being using fetal monitoring techniques.
  • Assist during vaginal deliveries and obstetric emergencies.
  • Provide newborn assessment and immediate neonatal care.
  • Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within Cerner EMR.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, anesthesia, and ancillary staff.
  • Float to other units when appropriate orientation has been provided.
  • Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications Required
  • Active RN License (New Mexico or Compact eNLC)
  • Minimum 1 year of LDRP/OB experience
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Required Certifications
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
Additional Requirements
  • STABLE Certification within 12 months
  • OPS Emergency Workshop within 12 months
  • SAFER NM Technician Certification preferred
Schedule & Assignment Details
  • 13-week contract
  • 36 guaranteed hours weekly
