The area is known for its welcoming, community-oriented feel and a strong regional healthcare presence, offering a professional environment that supports ongoing growth.In this outpatient Physical Therapy position, you will be part of a collaborative rehabilitation team dedicated to helping patients regain function and return to meaningful activities. The clinic typically serves a mix of orthopedic, post-surgical, and neurologic patients, as well as individuals recovering from work-related injuries or sports injuries. Your day will include comprehensive evaluations, development of individualized treatment plans, progression of therapeutic exercise programs, manual therapy interventions, balance and gait training, and detailed patient and caregiver education.A typical days caseload is designed to allow you to deliver personalized, evidence-based care while maintaining consistent documentation in the electronic medical record system. You will coordinate closely with referring providers and other rehabilitation professionals to align treatment goals and optimize outcomes. Patient visit volume is structured to promote attentive, hands-on care rather than rushed encounters, fostering strong therapeutic relationships and clear communication.Shifts are generally daytime hours on weekdays, with some flexibility based on clinic scheduling needs. This structure supports a healthy work-life balance, enabling you to enjoy all that South Portland and the greater Portland area have to offer outside of work. The clinic environment emphasizes a supportive, team-focused culture where therapists learn from one another, share best practices, and participate in continuing education to stay current with advances in physical therapy.You will have opportunities to refine your skills in specialized areas based on patient mix and professional interest, whether that involves orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, balance and falls prevention, or other focus areas.
