We're hiring the one person who makes everything else possible a Commercial Lines Account Manager who can take a real book and own it.Not service it. Take ownership of the accounts.THE WORKYou take the renewals from start to finish. Pulling expiration reports, running the carrier conversations, preparing submissions, and delivering the finished package to the client without a principal reviewing it first.When a client calls with a coverage question, you answer it.The book carries real complexity. Your time outside work is yours.THE NUMBERSBase: $65,000-$83,000, depending on what you bring.Plus:Annual performance bonus tied to retention and accuracy90-day milestone bonus for completing the transition cleanFull benefits: health, dental, vision, STD, lifeExtended holiday weekends and agency outingsA path to Senior AM and eventually a supervisor seat both real as SIG grows the service team, which is the planA direct working relationship with DerikCompensation:$65,000 - $85,000 yearlyResponsibilities:Own the commercial renewal cycle end-to-end - expiration reports, carrier submissions, proposal preparation, and client delivery - without requiring principal oversight on standard accounts.Serve as the primary service contact for an assigned book of commercial accounts - coverage questions, endorsements, certificates, and claims follow-up handled without escalation.Prepare accurate quotes, applications, and policy comparisons for new and existing clients across commercial property, liability, and workers' compensation lines.Maintain complete, accurate account records in the agency management system - every activity logged, every document filed, every follow-up tickled so nothing falls through and the next person who opens the account knows exactly where things stand.Identify and surface cross-sell and rounding opportunities to Derik based on genuine knowledge of the accounts you manage.Stay current on carrier appetites, coverage changes, and market conditions that affect the commercial book.Qualifications:Required:Current Wisconsin P&C license in good standing3+ years of commercial lines account management or servicing experienceDemonstrated experience managing a renewal cycle independentlyProficiency with agency management softwareMust be able to work onsite in Waterford, WIYou do NOT need:No financial planning or securities licensing requiredNo production quota or new business development requirement - this is a service roleNo specific carrier experience requiredAbout CompanySteffens Insurance Group is a family-owned independent agency in Waterford, WI.
