Job Description

We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide coverage across a network of urgent care clinics within a large, established market in Dallas, Texas.

This is an ongoing opportunity with flexible scheduling and a strong clinical support structure.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

APPs will provide care in an urgent care setting treating a mix of acute illnesses, minor injuries, and some pediatric patients. Providers should be comfortable working primarily in an independent practice model with remote physician supervision available as needed.

• APPs comfortable in independent clinical settings
• Providers with urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience
• Clinicians open to floating between multiple clinic sites
• Providers comfortable treating both adult and light pediatric populations

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Client does not reimburse or cover travel expenses (non-negotiable). Local travel between clinic sites is required.

RECRUITING SCREENING QUESTIONS:

• Do you have 1 2+ years of urgent care, ER, or similar experience?
• Are you comfortable working independently with remote supervision?
• What is your experience level with pediatric patients?
• Are you open to floating between multiple clinic locations?
• Do you hold an active NP or PA license (or are you eligible to obtain quickly)?
• Are you comfortable managing a mix of urgent care, minor procedures, and episodic care cases?

START DATE: ASAP Ongoing
ASSIGNMENT LENGTH: Open-ended


SCHEDULE:

• Clinic-hours based scheduling
• hour shifts typical
• Weekday and weekend coverage as needed
• Flexibility required across multiple sites


REQUIREMENTS:

• Active NP or PA license
• Board Certification (ANCC / AANP / NCCPA)
• Active DEA
• BLS required ACLS preferred
• 1 2 years minimum urgent care, ER, or primary care experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting

WORK SETTING & SCOPE:

• Outpatient urgent care clinics
• Evaluation and treatment of acute illnesses and minor injuries
• Physical exams and patient assessments
• Diagnostic ordering and interpretation
• Prescribing and treatment planning
• Procedures including suturing, splinting, and wound care
• Occupational health services as needed


VOLUME & SUPPORT:

• Moderate patient volume depending on site
• Approx. 13% pediatric population (expected to increase)
• Independent workflow model
• Remote supervising physician support available
