Director of Equine Programs & Client Experience (Head Trainer)

Position Summary

Chagrin Valley Farms is seeking an enthusiastic Director of Equine Programs and Client Experience to join our team. This leadership role is a unique opportunity to take our current business to the next level. We are looking for an equine entrepreneur that is interested in helping us scale our unique rider membership program and all aspects of our business. We are looking for a commercially savvy, high energy professional that is equal parts equestrian and business professional. Relocation will be available to the selected candidate.

The primary responsibilities for this role are to evolve our unique instruction curriculum, oversee our internal and external trainers, teach students, as well as lead our recruitment program targeted at prospective riders of all ages and capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to work with an entrepreneurial team interested in taking this successful business model to the next level.

Responsibilities, Compensation, and Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a world class curriculum for instruction of all riding levels, ranging from learn to ride programs to advanced Grand Prix riders


• Recruit instructors that share your vision of growing the businesses within in Ohio (and in other states in the future), and oversee their development and performance


• Partner with the equine care team to ensure proper care and development of the 20+ CVF horses for the program


• Act as the ambassador for Chagrin Valley Farms with the regional community, press, and industry at large


• Attend Chagrin Valley Farm shows supporting our students and helping to recruit other potential students

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• Experienced trainer of the highest caliber, with a resume of successful students that you have coached


• Track record of success as a competitor at the Grand Prix Level


• Collaborative, natural leader with exceptional interpersonal skills


• Familiarity with a variety of disciplines including hunter/jumper, dressage, horse trials, etc.


• Experienced in barn management


• Microsoft Office proficient


• Business administration background/undergraduate degree or MBA from a top school would be ideal
