Job Details
Perform computerized tomographic procedures for diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists.
Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity.
Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Job Requirements
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
One or more of the following required: Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Schedule Information
Contract length is 13 weeks.
Additional Details
Must be AHA BLS provider.
Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals.
HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA Topics completed within a year of start and updated every 3 years.
Documented proof of required vaccinations including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, and TB testing.
Fit Test required, preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite.
Background checks and drug screening required.
Various Ascension-specific onboarding and verification modules and attestations required.
