Attended Donation Center (ADC) Leader The Attended Donation Center (ADC) Leader plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, maximizing donor satisfaction, and supporting revenue growth at the ADC/Mini Shop location. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and mission-driven experience for donors and customers. The ADC Leader champions a culture centered on exceptional service, accountability, and continuous improvement. This individual will lead by example, ensuring adherence to Goodwill NYNJ standards while fostering team development, operational efficiency, and community engagement. Key Responsibilities Operations & Site Management Oversee daily operations, ensuring the location is open, properly staffed, and operating within established business hours Maintain facility standards, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for donors, customers, and employees Partner with Facilities and Retail leadership to address maintenance and operational needs Monitor and manage site performance to meet productivity, donation, and revenue goals Control and minimize operating expenses while maintaining service quality Donor & Customer Experience Deliver and promote an exceptional donor and customer experience at all touchpoints Train and coach team members to effectively greet, thank, and communicate Goodwill's mission Develop and expand the local donor base through community engagement and outreach Monitor service standards and provide feedback to continuously improve performance People Leadership & Talent Management Recruit, interview, and recommend candidates for hire Lead onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and engagement Manage scheduling to ensure adequate coverage while adhering to payroll budgets Address employee questions related to policies and escalate to Human Resources when needed Conduct regular team meetings to communicate priorities and reinforce company initiatives Financial & Administrative Oversight Manage site P&L through effective control of labor and operational expenses Review and approve payroll, time-off requests, and leave documentation Ensure team compliance with timekeeping systems (ADP) and company policies Maintain accurate reporting, including sales, donor logs, cash reports, and invoices Establish and enforce sound cash-handling and asset protection procedures Compliance, Safety & Loss Prevention Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety standards and protocols Partner with Loss Prevention to minimize shrink and protect company assets Conduct regular audits, including bag and locker checks, in compliance with company policy Identify and proactively address risks related to inventory, cash, and operations Merchandising & Visual Standards Execute merchandising strategies and visual standards in Mini Shop locations Ensure sales floor and displays are clean, organized, and visually appealing Maintain signage and presentation that attracts and engages donors and customers Process, price, tag, and display merchandise as needed Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework (business or marketing) preferred Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience Minimum of 2 years of retail or customer-facing experience Proven experience supervising, coaching, and developing team members Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to analyze basic financial and operational data Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities Scope of Responsibility Directly supervises Sales Specialists and Donor Services team members Work Environment Primarily indoor work environment May handle donated goods that are occasionally dusty or soiled Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $22 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
