Position Summary
Montgomery Steele is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our growing personal injury practice in Upland, California. The ideal candidate will manage a caseload of pre-litigation and litigation matters, work directly with clients, negotiate with insurance carriers, and assist in all phases of personal injury litigation.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a personal injury caseload from intake through resolution.
Conduct client consultations and maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status.
Evaluate liability, damages, and insurance coverage issues.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and settlement demands.
Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and defense counsel.
Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial strategy and presentation.
Collaborate with case managers, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case handling.
Maintain compliance with all court deadlines and procedural requirements.
Qualifications
Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
1-5 years of personal injury experience preferred.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Experience handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Trial experience is a plus but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience representing plaintiffs in personal injury matters.
Familiarity with California civil procedure and litigation practice.
Experience using case management software and legal technology platforms.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
