Sampson-Bladen Oil Company is seeking a qualified, motivated and driven individual to join our Accounting team. The successful candidate will be trained to perform the following tasks.
Essential Functions
- Read and understand fuel bills of lading and invoices
- Input bills of lading and supplier invoices into the account system
- Invoice fuel customers using the accounting system
- Review delivery documents and invoices for accuracy
- Respond to fuel customers and questions as needed
Assist Controller and Assistant Controller as needed
Qualifications - Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and accounting software programs.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong time management skills
- Able to adapt to changes in work processes
- Able to work under deadlines
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- 2-year college degree preferred or equivalent accounting experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manual, and written directions.
