Creative Minds Academy (CMA) is a non-profit community-based organization dedicated to addressing lifestyle and disease-related issues prevalent in Mississippi's underserved rural communities. Ensuring all citizens have access to the necessary resources to make the changes required to live happier, healthier, and longer lives drives CMA.

CMA centers all its activities around preventing and eliminating ethnic health disparities through implementation of 4 four programs: Brain-Well, Fit-Well, Eat-Well, and Soul-Well CMA is located in Clarksdale, MS. Creative Minds Academy's goal is to empower aging adults to maintain their health, well-being and prevent or lower their risk of diet and aging- related chronic illnesses.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Fitness Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead cycling , core , and stretch & strength fitness classes, and contribute to the enhancement of fitness programs.

Duties:

- Conduct group fitness classes including: cycling, chair aerobics, core fitness, stretch and strength training, and other specialized sessions depending on the need of the clients.

- Design and implement personalized fitness programs for clients based on their goals and abilities

- Provide sessions education sessions on lifestyle changes

- Conduct fitness assessments and monitor client progress, including BMI, weight, blood pressure, hydration levels, and body fat percentage.

-Track attendance for all clients

- Promote fitness services and assist in recruitment

-Having reliable transportation is a must.

Experience:

- Previous experience in sports coaching, gym instruction or working with aging population

- Proficiency in program design tailored to individual needs

- Knowledge of physiology and exercise science principles

- Certification in group fitness instruction or ability to obtain certification

- Strong communication skills and ability to motivate clients

- Experience in fitness sales is a plus

Job Types: Part-time, Internship

Pay: $10.25 - $12.00 per hour
