Maintenance Supervisor - Off Shift

Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preventive maintenance programs to minimize maintenance cost of all production equipment.

  • Completes assignments related to maintenance of machinery and equipment.

  • Responsible for assisting with relocating machinery and/or equipment; dismantling and removing obsolete or worn out machinery and/or equipment.

  • Maintains spare part inventories.

  • Schedules work to prevent idle time and to provide maximum machine utilization.

  • Handles all job-related problems in maintenance honestly and fairly without violation of Company Policies or Procedures.

  • Provide troubleshooting of production equipment to support manufacturing and maintenance operations.

  • Respond to critical production down situations affecting manufacturing.

  • Maintaining a safe work environment, and the general 5S housekeeping activities of the production floor.

  • Assisting in evaluating cause and elimination of downtime by directing 8D corrective actions when problems occur that need to be addressed.

  • Maintain Maintenance software database that controls all Preventative and Predictive Maintenance processes on facilities and equipment.

  • Proactive in resolving problem and/or conflicts.

  • Consistently demonstrates a positive management approach.

  • Direct, coach and supervise subordinates.

  • Follow and maintain PM schedule.

  • Manage employees in such a way as to promote and maintain a high level of trust and integrity with all employees.

  • Responsible for all plant utilities and seeking ways to reduce costs.

  • Complies with all Company Safety policies, procedures and rules.



Maintenance Supervisor Education / Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Must have recent experience in an Automotive Manufacturing plant.

  • Excellent communication skills and must possess the ability to supervise and motivate employees in a team environment.

  • Expert working knowledge of all machine components and integration.

  • Proven mechanical aptitude for analytical problem solving.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.

  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills.

  • Working with engineering and quality to address problem areas and collectively come up and implement solutions.

  • Must be able to work an off shift.
