Job Description

Firm is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to safeguard clients' futures with thoughtful planning and personalized service.

Ideal candidate is experienced, empathetic, reliable, organized, detail oriented and ready to advance their career in a supportive environment. Requirements include a JD from an accredited law school and is licensed with the California State Bar. Effective communication skills and experience in estate planning, trust administration and probate matters are required. Looking for a forward thinking, self-starter would is adept at anticipating client and managing partner needs.

This is a 40 hour per week in office position. Salary commensurate with experience.

Candidate must have experience in:

Attention to detail
Managing and organizing client files
Drafting Estate Plans - Wills and Trusts etc. (Advance planning experience preferred).
Probate Process, Procedures & Drafting Pleadings
Trust Administration
Corporate Formation / Transactional Work preferred
Calendaring and scheduling pending deadlines
Performing administrative tasks timely and accurately

Candidates must be familiar with:

California Probate Code & Code of Civil Procedure and state and local Rules of Court
Clio
One Legal E filing
Simplifile E Recording
Primary and secondary legal research via online databases, such as Westlaw/ Westlaw Next, and LexisNexis

Candidate Must Possess:

1-3 years relevant & recent experience
J.D. from an accredited law school
Licensed with California State Bar
Strong research skills
Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and dedication
PC proficient using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Simplifile, One Legal, E recording and state E-filing programs,
Ability to work 40 hours per week in office
