Our manufacturing client in Arlington is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their Inventory Accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AP professional who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The role is a three-month contract paying $23-24/hr.
Responsibilities- Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
- Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts and cost centers.
- Resolve invoice, purchase order, and payment discrepancies by working with vendors and internal departments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate vendor accounts.
- Review and process employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions.
- Process electronic payments (EFT/ACH) and assist with recurring payment schedules.
- Calculate and apply applicable sales and use tax.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
- Maintain organized AP records and ensure confidentiality of financial information.
- Provide support to the Accounting team and respond to internal inquiries regarding expenses.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience, including invoice coding and batch processing.
- Manufacturing, inventory, or purchase order-based AP experience is preferred.
- Experience with three-way matching and vendor reconciliations.
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
Pay Details: $23.00 to $24.00 per hour
