Heavy Equipment Operator

Join a well-established leader in the recycling and materials processing industry. We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to operate large excavators and material handling equipment in a fast-paced industrial yard environment. This role plays a key part in keeping material flowing safely and efficiently throughout the facility. Responsibilities: Operate large excavators and material handlers to move, sort, load, and stage material Feed material into processing areas and load outbound trucks as needed Safely handle scrap and recyclable materials while maintaining productivity goals Perform daily equipment inspections and report safety, maintenance, or mechanical concerns Maintain a clean and safe work environment Assist with other on-site operations as needed Required Skills & Experience: Experience operating large excavators Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to safely operate equipment from elevated cabs and work at heights up to approximately 15 feet Strong safety awareness and ability to work independently Comfortable working in an outdoor environment and flexible to work overtime weekly averaging 50 hours and up to 70 depending on workload Preferred Skills & Experience: Experience operating SENNEBOGEN scrap handlers Experience operating comparable material handling equipment (CAT, Liebherr, Doosan, etc.)
