Help Lead a Thriving Campus. Killeen ISD is seeking collaborative, student-centered educational leaders to serve as Assistant Principals across our campuses. In this role, you'll partner closely with the campus principal to support instructional excellence, foster a positive school culture, promote student achievement, and help ensure the safe and efficient daily operation of the campus. What You'll Do Instructional LeadershipSupport the implementation and continuous improvement of the campus instructional programPartner with teachers and instructional staff to improve classroom instruction and student achievementAssist with professional learning, instructional coaching, and staff developmentMonitor instructional effectiveness using student performance dataSupport campus improvement planning and instructional initiatives Student Support & Campus CultureHelp maintain a safe, orderly, and positive learning environmentSupport student attendance initiatives and intervention strategiesAssist with student discipline and implementation of the Student Code of ConductSupervise students during instructional and extracurricular activitiesFoster a campus culture built on respect, accountability, and student success Campus OperationsAssist with the day-to-day administration of campus operationsCoordinate state and district testing activitiesSupport campus safety, emergency preparedness, and operational proceduresAssist with campus scheduling, supervision plans, and daily logisticsHelp ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements Staff LeadershipAssist with the supervision, coaching, and evaluation of campus staffSupport teacher growth through observation, feedback, and professional developmentCollaborate with the principal on hiring, onboarding, and staff supportPromote teamwork and positive communication among faculty and staff Family & Community EngagementBuild positive relationships with students, parents, and community membersFacilitate communication between home and schoolParticipate in conferences and campus eventsPromote meaningful family engagement that supports student success Qualifications Education & ExperienceMaster's Degree requiredMinimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experiencePrevious campus leadership experience preferred CertificationsValid Texas Principal Certificate required Skills & CompetenciesStrong instructional leadership and coaching skillsKnowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student achievement practicesExperience supporting student discipline and campus cultureExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to analyze data and support continuous improvementStrong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilitiesWorking knowledge of state and federal education requirementsProficiency with educational technology and student information systems Why Killeen ISD?
