Job description:
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
- Provide effective legal counsel in the defense of civil disputes in South Carolina.
- Handle diverse and challenging cases for retail and hospitality clients.
- Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
- Develop and implement litigation strategies aligned with client goals.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Collaborate with attorneys across the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
- Contribute to the growth of the firm and expansion of its presence throughout South Carolina.
- Write reports and develop budgets.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the South Carolina Bar.
- Admission to the Federal District Court of South Carolina (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of civil defense experience with a demonstrated track record defending civil matters.
- Excellent analytical, writing, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Civil Defense Experience.
