Bankruptcy Paralegal-L.A. or Dallas-NYC or Chicago
Our law firm client is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to support its growing litigation and restructuring practice. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with at least six years of litigation experience and a strong background in bankruptcy matters, particularly Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 proceedings.
The Bankruptcy Paralegal will work closely with attorneys on all aspects of bankruptcy cases from inception through resolution. Responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and filing pleadings and motions in federal bankruptcy courts; assisting with case management and docket tracking; organizing case files and maintaining documentation; conducting legal research; and drafting correspondence, discovery materials, and court submissions. The paralegal will also interface with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel while ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Qualified candidates bring a minimum of 6 years of litigation experience with a demonstrated focus on bankruptcy law. Strong drafting and legal research skills are essential, along with a thorough understanding of bankruptcy procedures, rules, and filings in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 matters. Proficiency with legal research platforms and case management systems is expected. The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
For the right candidate, a hybrid schedule of one to two remote days per week may be considered after an initial onboarding period.
