Job Description: Job Description Automotive Dealership Bookkeeper, Dealertrack DMS Experience Preferred Baraboo, Wisconsin Are you an experienced automotive dealership bookkeeper or accounting professional who understands how dealership accounting works? Do you know your way around deal jackets, schedules, accounts payable, receivables, reconciliations, titles, and dealership paperwork? We are a family-owned and operated Stellantis dealership in Baraboo, Wisconsin, and we're looking for an experienced Automotive Dealership Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. This is a hands-on accounting position for someone who understands the details that keep a dealership office running accurately and efficiently. We are looking for someone who understands dealership accounting and is comfortable working with:Deal jackets and deal processingAccounts payableAccounts receivableBank and account reconciliationsSchedule reconciliationsVehicle inventory accountingFloorplan accountingTitles and registrationsCustomer and lender paperworkDealership accounting schedulesMonth-end accounting supportDealertrack DMSWorking with sales, service, parts and finance departmentsResearching accounting discrepanciesMaintaining accurate dealership records You do not have to know every area of dealership accounting on day one, but previous automotive dealership accounting experience is strongly preferred.WHAT YOU'LL DO As an Automotive Dealership Bookkeeper, you will help keep our dealership's accounting records accurate, current and organized. Depending on your experience, responsibilities may include:Processing vehicle dealsReviewing deal paperwork for completeness and accuracyPosting vehicle sales and related accounting entriesProcessing accounts payable invoicesPosting and monitoring accounts receivableReconciling bank and general ledger accountsReconciling accounting schedulesAssisting with floorplan and vehicle inventory accountingProcessing title and registration paperworkFollowing up on missing paperwork and outstanding accounting itemsPosting payments and depositsMaintaining accurate customer, vendor and vehicle recordsResearching accounting discrepanciesWorking with banks, lenders and vendors as neededAssisting with month-end accounting and closing proceduresPreparing accounting reports and supporting documentationHelping keep dealership accounting schedules clean and currentCommunicating with other dealership departments to resolve paperwork or accounting issuesDEALERTRACK EXPERIENCE Dealertrack DMS experience is strongly preferred. If you currently work with Dealertrack and understand dealership accounting, schedules and deal processing, that is a major advantage.
