Job description:

Our client offers an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Portfolio Manager who wants to join a stable, long-established wealth management organization with a strong reputation and significant assets under management. Our client provides wealth management, trust services, legacy planning, estate administration, institutional services, retirement plan services, and nonprofit and foundation services across Missouri, Colorado, Kansas, Florida, and Oklahoma.

The Portfolio Manager will report to the Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager and will be responsible for managing approximately $250 million in client assets. Most clients are local.

This is a client-facing position focused on building strong relationships, retaining clients, and providing thoughtful investment management. The role offers flexibility depending on the candidates strengths and interests. The Portfolio Manager may be more client-focused or more analytically focused while still contributing to the overall investment management process.

Key responsibilities include:
Manage client portfolios using Central Trust Companys internal investment models
Provide asset allocation recommendations and portfolio oversight
Work directly with clients to understand their needs, goals, and risk tolerance
Focus on client retention through strong service, communication, and relationship management
Collaborate with other portfolio managers, traders, relationship managers, and bankers
Participate in investment discussions and portfolio strategy
Support the broader wealth management team in serving clients effectively
Represent the company in a professional and client-focused manner

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a strong investment management background, excellent client relationship skills, and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications include:
Minimum of 7 years of investment or portfolio management experience
10 or more years of experience preferred but not required
Bachelors degree required
MBA, masters degree in finance, CFA, and/or CFP preferred but not required
Strong knowledge of asset allocation and portfolio management
Ability to work effectively with clients, portfolio managers, traders, relationship managers, and bankers
Strong communication, analytical, and relationship management skills
Client-focused approach with an emphasis on retention and long-term relationships
Willingness to work in the office

Why is This a Great Opportunity:

Our client has the resources and depth of expertise of a larger organization while maintaining a collaborative, relationship-driven culture. This is a client-facing role with a strong focus on client retention and service, working closely with other portfolio managers, traders, relationship managers, and bankers.

The company has a very collaborative culture and encourages community involvement, with some employees participating in ten or more community events annually. While this is an in-office position, there is flexibility with time. Relocation assistance is available and negotiable for the right candidate.

This position offers a competitive compensation package, including a bonus opportunity. Relocation assistance is available and negotiable.

If you are seeking a stable, client-focused opportunity to apply your investment expertise and build meaningful client relationships, we would welcome the chance to speak with you. All inquiries are confidential.
