Job Description: An institutional investment platform managing long-term global capital is seeking a Private Markets Investment Associate to join its private markets investment team in New York.
This role provides exposure to private equity fund investments, manager due diligence, and portfolio monitoring across global private equity strategies. The position offers the opportunity to interact with leading private equity managers while supporting portfolio construction and investment decision-making within an institutional investment platform.
Key Responsibilities
Private Equity Fund Evaluation & Manager Due Diligence
Support the evaluation of private equity fund investments across global strategies
Review fund materials, track records, and investment strategies
Participate in manager due diligence and assist in evaluating GP investment teams
Analyze fund structures, performance drivers, and portfolio characteristics
Portfolio Monitoring & Investment Support
Monitor private equity fund performance, portfolio developments, and risk exposures
Review quarterly reports, capital calls, and distribution activity
Support preparation of investment committee materials and portfolio reporting
Assist in portfolio construction and investment analysis across private markets allocations
Manager Interaction & Market Research
Interact with private equity managers and participate in GP meetings and updates
Track private markets trends, fund launches, and sector developments
Qualifications
1-5 years of experience in private markets, investment consulting, private equity, secondaries, or investment banking
Understanding of private equity fund structures and portfolio monitoring processes
Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate investment strategies and fund performance
Ability to synthesize investment analysis and communicate findings clearly in written and presentation formats
Experience reviewing private equity fund materials, manager reports, or portfolio analytics is highly valued.
