POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Director is a highly motivated team player who contributes to the growth and success of our Institute by attracting qualified candidates who will shape the future of the business world, thus playing a key role in the recruitment process. This position offers an exciting opportunity to kick-start a career in the academic sector.
Reporting directly to the Director of Admissions and Financial Assistance, the Assistant Director of Admissions plays an integral part of the recruitment process. As a member of the admissions team, the Assistant Director will focus on both refining existing enrollment practices and driving growth. Beyond traditional responsibilities such as recruitment and counseling, this role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in cutting-edge areas such as Artificial Intelligence, K-12 programming, and emerging technologies.
The position is ideal for someone who is looking to gain admissions experience and is comfortable working with individuals to drive them to success. The individual should possess competent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, group presentation skills, and have a strong passion to work with and seek out diverse individual should be customer service-oriented and be a creative problem solver. An entrepreneurial and fun-loving mindset is required for success.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment and Admissions (50%):
Cultivate and strengthen relationships with high schools, community organizations, and college access programs, focusing on the Buffalo/Niagara region, while expanding outreach beyond.
Lead and coordinate recruitment efforts, including campus tours, high school visits, recruitment events, and leveraging Slate to track, manage, and engage prospective students throughout the admissions process.
Represent the Institute at local, regional and national college fairs, delivering dynamic presentations and sharing insights on academic offerings, admissions
Collaborate with academic departments and other campus offices to ensure alignment in recruitment messaging and support recruitment goals.
Enrollment Strategy & Analytics (50%):
Analyze industry trends and data, offering actionable insights to refine enrollment strategies and foster growth in alignment with institutional goals.
Use a blend of qualitative and quantitative data from Technolutions Slate CRM to evaluate and enhance recruitment initiatives, ensuring they meet the needs of prospective students.
Work closely with colleagues to create and utilize data-driven solutions that enhance the entire student journey, from initial engagement through to enrollment.
Employ emerging technologies and tools, including artificial intelligence and data analytics, to support data-driven decision-making in enrollment management and student outreach.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 1 year of higher education operations, technology management, and/or customer services experience. Higher education experience can be swapped for other applicable business/sales experience.
