Job Description: Job Description Shop Technician I or Higher The Shop Technician I will overhaul, maintain and repair Caterpillar Arrow and GM engines as well as Ariel, Gemini and Sertco compressors. They will perform preventative maintenance along with minor and major repairs.Duties & Responsibilities Assist in diagnosing engine/compressor failures accurately and efficientlyTroubleshoot ignition and instrument panelsExamine work to verify conformance to technical specificationsAdjust valves and check compression on enginesRebuild compressor valvesComplete PM1's, PM2's, PM3's, and PM5's on compressor packages Use pressure washer to wash unitsTrain other employees to diagnose and troubleshoot compressor packagesOther duties as assigned Skills & Competencies Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues with 12&24-volt DCPossess strong mechanical and electrical abilities with knowledge and experience to perform complex service and maintenance tasksMust be able to weld and use a cutting torchDemonstrate intermediate computer knowledge through effective use of a company computer including Microsoft applications and be able to learn company specific applicationsCommunicate information effectively with all levels of co-workers by phone, email or in person Education & Experience High school diploma or GED is preferred1+ years work experience with Caterpillar and Arrow engines is required1+ years work experience with Ariel and Gemini natural gas compressors is required PI9cda285f24ef-1981
