Job Description
Oregon Coast Dance Conservatory, a growing studio in the coastal town of Brookings, Oregon (over 150 students), is hiring a full-time Creative Director / Lead Instructor a chance to lead the artistry without the weight of ownership. The owners handle finances, marketing, and administration, so the Creative Director focuses on teaching, choreographing, and shaping the studio's artistic direction.
Teach classes per week across multiple genres and varied age groups (ballet, pointe, jazz, and modern, ages 7 through adult; tap and musical theater a plus), choreograph the studio's signature holiday and spring story ballets and pieces for its performance company, and help set the creative vision.
Qualifications: minimum two years of teaching and/or professional performance experience in ballet, jazz, and/or modern; a degree in dance or a related field preferred, equivalent experience considered. Relocation to Brookings ideally by the start of fall classes in September.
