Job Description: Job Description Skill Builder (Community and/or Crisis Stabilization) Skill Builder (Community and/or Crisis Stabilization) - Omaha Home for Boys Make a lasting impact on individuals and families in your community. Omaha Home for Boys is seeking a compassionate and motivated Skill Builder to support individuals and families through trauma informed, community based services. In this role, you will work directly with clients in their homes, schools, and neighborhoods to help strengthen life skills, increase stability, and connect them with essential resources. What You'll DoProvide skill-building services to individuals and families in home and community settingsAssess family needs and support individualized goal planningImplement service plans developed in collaboration with the referral source and the service recipientConnect families to community resources and supportive servicesProvide transportation for clients as appropriateMaintain accurate, timely documentation and case recordsParticipate in family meetings and team collaborationRespond to and professionally manage crisis situations using de-escalation skillsMaintain professional boundaries and uphold trauma-informed care principlesMaintain a direct service caseload of approximately 25-32 hours per weekWork flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends You'll Be a Great Fit If You: Are passionate about empowering individuals and familiesThrive in flexible, fast paced community based workCommunicate well and build strong, supportive relationshipsAre committed to promoting resilience and long term success Available Schedules General Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm with evening and weekend hours as needed, depending on client needs. 40 hours weekly. Compensation & BenefitsStarting Wage: $19.00-$21.00 per hour (based on experience)Medical, Dental and Vision InsuranceFree meals available in the dining hallPaid holidays, PTO (vacation and sick leave)Casual Dress CodeAccess to full workout facility on campus What We're Looking forMust be at least 21 years of ageBachelor's degree in social work, Counseling, Human Services, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field OR Associate degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience working with children and familiesExperience in in-home or community-based services preferredValid driver's license, reliable transportation, good driving record and current auto insuranceAbility to pass an extensive background check and drug screeningStrong communication, documentation, and time management skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a teamCPR and First Aid certification (offered at OHB during pre-service if needed)Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeCultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations Join a Team That Changes Lives If you're ready to use your strengths to make a meaningful impact every day, we'd love to meet you.
