Part Time 1st Shift Welder

We are seeking a part time 1st Shift Fitter Welder to become an integral part of our team! The Fitter Welder will have high familiarity with blueprint reading/specifications, planning layout, troubleshooting, securing parts and assemblies during "fit up", performing final weld and self inspection to print using necessary measurement instruments. This position may have to perform a level of production style (fixture) welding and is not necessarily fitting 100% of the time.

Responsibilities:

• Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products
• Previous MIG Welding experience
• Perform set up and all position welding on a diversified line of standard weldments in accordance with code certifications, alignment, dimensional and general inspection requirements
• Fit and position weldments having a number of parts, use welding fixtures and rigs where applicable.
• Use measuring instruments incidental to operations and inspections.
• Must have high character, enthusiasm and desire to meet or exceed the customers' requirements.
• Work from drawings and templates.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields
• Familiarity with welding tools and procedures
• Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis
