Job Description

Job Title: CAD Designer (Electrical) Duration: 6 Months Work Location: Sugar Land, TX 77478 Work Type: Hybrid Shift: Monday and Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Job Description:
  • The Electrical CAD Designer is responsible for preparing and maintaining engineering or sustaining project design layouts, production drawings and other related documentation per ANSI/ Client standards, considering methods of manufacture and tolerance and their effect on related parts or assemblies.
  • Function as a design engineer for routine/correction.
  • Depending on seniority, use the CAD system to prepare and maintain simple to average complexity electrical and electronic layouts, average complexity mechanical and highest complexity electrical and electronic product and production drawings and other related documentation from layouts, sketc.hes or verbal instruction.
  • Be responsible for the accuracy of assignments, except for design features that are the responsibility of the project engineer.
  • Understand ANSI/Client drafting methods, standards and procedures.
  • Understand Client manufacturing processes and techniques, and interpretation of ANSI/Client standards and procedures.
  • Possesses basic knowledge of the mechanical and, depending on the seniority, partial to total knowledge of the electrical and electronic Product Line. Maintains status reports on all projects assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Open to recent graduates as well as candidates with industry experience (5 years).
  • Recent graduates should have academic projects, coursework, or internship experience related to:
    • Hardware systems
    • Power supplies
    • AC motors
    • Motor drivers
    • Motor control systems
  • Experienced candidates should ideally have hands-on experience in:
    • Downhole electronics applications
    • Printed Wiring Assembly (PWA) troubleshooting
    • Circuit diagnostics and troubleshooting
    • Power supply design or troubleshooting
    • Motor design, motor electronics, and motor control systems
Required Technical Qualifications:
  • Electronic circuit troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • CAD
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
  • Power supply design or troubleshooting
  • Motor systems, motor controls, and motor electronics
  • Hands-on hardware development and testing experience
Skills:
  • Strong technical fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to complex engineering environments.
  • Hands-on exposure to circuits, motors, power electronics, or related electrical engineering applications.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
