WELDER / FABRICATOR - ARCHITECTURAL & CUSTOM METALS
MetalArc, LLC Englewood, CO Full-Time On-Site
$24-$28/hour, depending on experience and demonstrated capability
MetalArc is hiring a mid-level Welder / Fabricator for our architectural and miscellaneous metals shop in Englewood.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who already has solid welding and fabrication fundamentals and can contribute productively with normal shop supervision.
You do not need to be a senior fabricator or crew lead, but you should be comfortable working from drawings, dimensions, and direction to produce accurate, clean finished work.
Our projects include stairs, railings, guards, gates, canopies, frames, brackets, structural supports, and custom architectural metalwork in carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and occasionally brass.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
We care more about demonstrated fabrication ability and workmanship than an exact number of years in the trade.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
You do not need experience in every area above.
WHAT GOOD WORK LOOKS LIKE HERE
Much of what we build becomes a finished architectural product that customers will see and use every day.
We expect:
Speed matters, but not at the expense of quality.
POSITION LEVEL
This is a mid-level fabrication position.
You should already know how to weld, measure, fit, grind, use common shop tools, and complete basic fabrication work without being taught the fundamentals.
You are not expected to function as a senior fabricator, foreman, or project lead. More experienced fabricators are available for complicated layouts, unusual assemblies, difficult drawings, and higher-level fabrication decisions.
There is room to take on more difficult and independent work as your capability grows.
