Under the direction of the Program Director, the Residency Program Coordinator is responsible for the operational management, coordination, and administrative oversight of the Family Medicine Residency Program. This position serves as a key liaison among residents, faculty, hospital leaders, accrediting organizations, medical schools, and community partners.
The Coordinator must demonstrate exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills while fostering a supportive learning environment that reflects URMC's commitment to compassionate care, excellence, integrity, teamwork, and community engagement. The role requires initiative, independent judgment, and a comprehensive understanding of accreditation standards, graduate medical education requirements, and program-specific policies.
This position supports the recruitment, development, and retention of future family medicine physicians while contributing to URMC's vision of strengthening healthcare access and improving the health of the communities we serve.

Position Responsibilities:
Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field with a minimum of 2 years work experience in that field. Or, an Associate's degree and a minimum of four years of directly relevant educational program experience. Or, a high school diploma or GED with ten years of directly applicable experience. Prefer experience working with residency programs, working with medical education programs, or similar setting.
