Step into a key leadership role where your welding expertise and supervisory skills directly shape production quality and team performance. In this hands-on, permanent position, you will oversee day-to-day shop floor operations-coordinating workflow, mentoring welders, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Shop Leadership & Workflow: Direct daily shop activities, assign tasks, and manage material movement to optimize equipment utilization and hit production deadlines.
• Technical Guidance & Quality: Provide hands-on guidance in Flux-Cored (FCAW) welding, interpret complex blueprints/symbols, and perform in-process inspections for weld integrity and dimensional accuracy.
• Safety & Maintenance: Enforce OSHA safety compliance, conduct regular shop checks, and oversee routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Inventory & Administration: Monitor consumable stock levels, maintain basic production logs, and communicate project status to management and clients.
• Team Development: Train, mentor, and coach welding staff to elevate workmanship and promote continuous improvement across the shop.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Proven supervisory or lead experience in a busy weld shop or metal fabrication environment.
• Technical Expertise: Strong practical background in Flux-Cored welding (FCAW), blueprint reading, welding symbols, and structural layout.
• Safety & Quality Standards: Solid working knowledge of OSHA shop safety regulations and weld inspection standards.
• Leadership Skills: Clear communication skills with the ability to direct, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
