Job Description

Sweep And Mop LLC is seeking dependable, hardworking, and professional Janitors/Cleaners to maintain clean, safe, and sanitary commercial and residential facilities. The Janitor/Cleaner is responsible for completing routine cleaning duties, following company procedures, maintaining professional conduct, and ensuring assigned areas meet Sweep And Mop LLCs quality standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize offices, bathrooms, common areas, break rooms, hallways, and other assigned spaces.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean floors and surfaces.
Empty trash and replace trash liners.
Clean and disinfect high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, counters, and fixtures.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and fixtures.
Dust furniture, fixtures, equipment, and other surfaces.
Clean windows and glass surfaces when assigned.
Perform carpet cleaning and spot cleaning when required and properly trained.
Assist with deep cleaning, move-out cleaning, post-construction cleaning, and special cleaning projects.
Safely operate cleaning equipment, tools, and machinery.
Properly use and store cleaning chemicals and supplies according to company procedures and safety requirements.
Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, maintenance issues, or supply shortages to the Supervisor or Site Manager.
Maintain assigned cleaning supplies and equipment in an organized condition.
Follow assigned schedules, cleaning checklists, and client-specific instructions.
Protect client property and maintain confidentiality while working at customer locations.
Arrive on time, dressed appropriately, and ready to work.
Maintain professional and respectful communication with customers, coworkers, supervisors, and management.
Perform other duties related to cleaning and facility maintenance as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull cleaning supplies and equipment.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical cleaning duties for extended periods.
Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
Must be willing to follow all company safety, attendance, and workplace policies.
Reliable transportation is preferred/required depending on the assigned work location.
Valid drivers license may be required for certain assignments.

Work Environment
Janitors/Cleaners may work in offices, government facilities, commercial buildings, schools, community facilities, residential properties, construction sites, and other customer locations.

Employees may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, dust, dirt, wet floors, varying temperatures, and other conditions normally associated with janitorial work. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be used when required.
