Your Role as a Maintenance Team MemberAssisted LivingAs a member of our Maintenance Team, you will help keep our Assisted Living Community, buildings, and grounds safe, functional, and well maintained. This role supports resident comfort and safety by performing routine maintenance, preventive upkeep, and grounds care while working closely with community leadership.What You'll DoMaintain buildings and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly conditionPerform routine and minor maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical, wiring, and general repairsMaintain furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and water systems to ensure resident comfortReplace air-conditioner filters and complete monthly maintenance checklistsAssist with disaster preparedness, including fire drills and emergency readiness activitiesNotify management of major repair needs involving lighting, HVAC, plumbing, or building systemsRemove snow, ice, debris, and hazards from sidewalks and groundsOversee landscaping services and assist with lawn care, trimming shrubs, and flower maintenance as neededUse hand tools and power tools safely and appropriatelyPhysical DemandsStand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and change positions frequentlyLift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull equipment as neededWork indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsSafety RequirementsFollow OSHA and facility safety policies at all timesUse appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipmentReport work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentationParticipate in company drug testing proceduresWork EnvironmentThis role operates both indoors and outdoors and includes interaction with residents, staff, vendors, and community leadership.
