HVAC Design

What Youll Be Doing Lead the design and development of HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, healthcare, and public-sector projects. Perform and oversee load calculations, system sizing, equipment selection, and energy analysis. Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Manage projects from concept through construction, including scope, schedule, and budget. Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing teams to ensure integrated design solutions. Serve as a technical point of contact for clients and support business development activities. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers. Support construction activities, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and field coordination. What Youll Bring Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain one. 815+ years of experience in HVAC/mechanical systems design. Experience with project management and client interaction. Strong knowledge of ASHRAE guidelines, NYS Building Code, and energy codes. Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit/BIM. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Requirements Valid drivers license with a clean MVR. Ability to read, write, and understand plans and directions in English. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams. Ability to navigate construction sites with uneven terrain and varying ground conditions. Ability to climb and safely exit ladders reaching platforms from 6 to 20 feet. Ability to wear required PPE, including hard hat, safety vest, work boots, and safety glasses/goggles
