We are seeking a motivated and highly organized Project Manager, Commercial Construction to join our Construction Service Delivery Team. This is an opportunity for a construction professional with commercial construction expertise to manage meaningful projects, work alongside experienced development and construction leaders, and help deliver complex environments where people live, work, learn, and connect.

The ideal candidate has experience with commercial mixed-use, multi-family, institutional, or similarly complex developments and is ready to take ownership of multiple projects while maintaining a strong presence in the field.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you will manage multiple construction projects concurrently, supporting projects from planning and preconstruction through construction, closeout, and turnover.

You will balance field execution with disciplined project management coordinating contractors, consultants, designers, vendors, and internal stakeholders while maintaining clear visibility into scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, safety, and project performance.

This is a hands-on role. Regular job-site presence, travel to project locations, field observation, issue resolution, and timely project reporting are essential responsibilities.

Using PMI/PMBOK-aligned practices, you will apply the project delivery approach best suited to the project, including:

Predictive / Waterfall methodologies
Adaptive / Agile methodologies
Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and analysis
Risk, issue, change, stakeholder, and communications management
BIM/VDC coordination and technology-enabled project delivery

What You'll Do
Manage multiple commercial construction projects, priorities, schedules, and deliverables simultaneously.
Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closeout activities.
Maintain project schedules, milestones, critical-path activities, and recovery plans.
Monitor project cost, commitments, changes, forecasts, and financial performance.
Conduct and participate in regular job-site visits, construction progress reviews, and project meetings.
Coordinate architects, engineers, general contractors, trade partners, consultants, vendors, owners, and internal stakeholders.
Identify project risks, constraints, conflicts, and potential delays early and drive timely resolution.
Maintain accurate project documentation, action items, decisions, status reports, meeting minutes, and executive reporting.
Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, schedules, and other construction documentation.
Support constructability reviews, procurement, value engineering, BIM/VDC coordination, and project execution planning.
Ensure project information is accurately captured and communicated through appropriate project-management and reporting platforms.
Travel to active construction sites and project locations as required.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, collaboration, and construction delivery excellence.
Capture lessons learned and continuously improve project delivery practices across the Construction Service Delivery Team.

Project Management & Technology

The successful candidate should be comfortable working within structured project-management environments and leveraging technology to improve visibility, accountability, and delivery.

Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
Microsoft Project Primavera P6 Procore Microsoft 365

Experience developing or managing CPM schedules, identifying critical-path impacts, tracking progress, and communicating schedule risks is particularly important.
Knowledge of BIM/VDC processes, model coordination, constructability, clash detection, and the integration of virtual design with field execution is a strong plus.

What We're Looking For
4+ years of commercial construction, project management, development, or construction-management experience.
Experience managing or supporting ground up commercial construction projects, preferably mixed-use, multifamily, government, institutional, or multi-building developments.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or workstreams concurrently.
Working knowledge of construction means and methods, project documentation, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and project controls.
Strong understanding of project lifecycle management and the relationship between scope, cost, schedule, quality, risk, and value.
Ability and willingness to travel to project sites and maintain regular field presence.
Adherence to site management, quality control, and safety. The ability to oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications to plan. Monitor projects to meet/exceed company specifications to Construction Policy, OSHA, State, County and/or City, and all other applicable agencies.

Problem Solving & Risk Mitigation: Identify potential project risks and work proactively to mitigate delays and budget overruns. Handle unexpected challenges with a solution-oriented approach.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation daily, including status reports, change orders, and as-built records. Provide regular updates to senior leadership and clients on project progress.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise, accurate, and timely project reports.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, designers, executives, and cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, Business, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent preferred. Fiber optic-specific certifications (e.g., FOA, BICSI) are highly desirable.
Key Requirements:
Superb customer service, communication and self-management skills
Ability to adapt to dynamic work schedules and flexible shifts.
Must have a valid drivers license without any restrictions and a satisfactory driving record.
Must have the ability to understand construction drawings and complete daily and weekly field reports within construction management software.
Must be able to lift 50lbs or more and stand for long periods of time.
Must be willing to travel to construction sites daily in various weather conditions, visit client office sites, attend pre-construction meetings for your assigned geographic region based on project/client need.
Must be 18 years of age or older, a US citizen and be able to show proof of citizenship.
Must have a clean criminal background.
