Locally, JA of the Permian Basin has been serving area students since 1962, now reaching classrooms in Midland and Odessa at no cost to schools, teachers, or students, thanks to support from local donors, foundations, and special events. Nearly 200 volunteers each year provide real-world perspectives and serve as role models for students exploring future careers and responsibilities.

Education Manager - Junior Achievement of the Permian Basin
Junior Achievement of the Permian Basin is seeking a full-time, year-round Education Manager to coordinate and oversee JA educational programs throughout Midland, Ector County, and surrounding communities.
The Education Manager manages program scheduling, school and volunteer coordination, curriculum delivery, database management, reporting, and program quality. This position serves as a primary contact for educators, school administrators, volunteers, businesses, and community partners while working closely with the Executive Director and JA team.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage JA programs, schedules, materials, and classroom assignments.
Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with schools and community partners.
Maintain accurate program, volunteer, and participation records.
Track outcomes and prepare program and organizational reports.
Support community outreach, fundraising, special events, marketing, grants, and other organizational initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Strong communication, organization, public speaking, and technology skills.
Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Experience in education, program management, volunteer coordination, nonprofits, or community engagement preferred.

Schedule & Compensation

Full-time, exempt; approximately 37.5 hours per week.
$40,000-$50,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
Benefits include health insurance, retirement benefits, and paid time off, subject to eligibility and plan terms.
Local travel and occasional early morning, evening, and weekend work required.
Successful completion of a background check required.
