Job Details Job Details: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of cases, representing clients in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The role will involve extensive courtroom appearances, motion practice, and depositions. Responsibilities: As a Civil Litigation Defense Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include: Representing clients in all stages of civil litigation, including pre-litigation, discovery, motions, trials, appeals, and settlements. Developing and implementing litigation strategies for complex civil litigation cases. Conducting and defending depositions. Representing clients in court, including making oral arguments and presenting evidence. Drafting and arguing motions, including motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, and motions in limine. Interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients. Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management. Maintaining professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest developments in law and in the specific area of practice. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Admission to the New Jersey Bar and Pennsylvania Bar. A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation defense. Experience in insurance defense and commercial litigation. Proven track record of success in the courtroom, including trial experience. Extensive knowledge of civil procedure and federal court rules. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. High degree of professional ethics and integrity. Experience with electronic legal research tools and legal databases. Strong negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
